There at times in life you cannot get angry or upset at an event and simply ‘RTP’ (Respect the patter) due to the surreal yet comedic nature of the incident.
When I read that the Marseille manager, Jorge Sampaoli, was described as being on the verge of suffering from a condition where a blockage stops blood flowing to the brain, all over a guy misinterpreting his instructions on a football pitch, I had no choice but to say fair play to Ntcham and RTP, as I alluded to.
Who even knows where his future will lie after this ?
I’m not here taking glee in any of this either, as although Ntcham is a player I have felt the support have overrated for some time, he is more than capable of some superlative moments on the pitch, and thrived in a competent system under Brendan Rodgers, as well as an adaptable one in 19-20 under Neil Lennon.
Hopefully the Frenchman can return to Celtic under a new manager with a clean slate, ready to help us dominate Scottish football properly again, unlike the jobber rivals we have across the city who can’t seem to secure a tap in of a treble.
If not, then perhaps we’ll get a somewhat decent fee for him, although it won’t be anything near the £9m fees quoted in 2018 and 2019.
Here’s the article in any case
