James Forrest’s race for fitness has been addressed by John Kennedy ahead of Sunday’s cup game at Ibrox against Rangers.
The interim boss said: “We’re just going to monitor James as the week goes on. He’s the type of player we’ll give right to the last minute.
“We’ll get the treatment in to him and see how it goes.
He added;
“It’s how we perform. The performance will bring the result. You need a real mental resilience and drive to deal with the pressure of the game.
You need to have a framework there. They can have comfort in knowing how they can approach it, how they’ve had success in previous games. The little issues we’ve had in previous games, we know how to address them.
It’s about going in with that belief to take out the game plan. Within that the individual quality might come through, someone can pop up with a goal out of nothing with a moment of magic.”
GIGPOD will have a cup preview ahead of the game over the weekend, so follow/subscribe to get it when it’s out!
