It was a relatively nonsense-free weekend from the club, until Sunday morning when Leigh Griffiths decided to back up Lennon and Lawwell to his pals in the paper.
That went down well!
Very ‘well timed’ comments from a man whose unprofessionalism kicked off this nightmare season back in the summer.
The fans had a go at him yesterday, some went OTT, but largely the sentiment was fair game.
Like most Celtic supporters my memory is long enough to remember Leigh Griffiths returning for the start of the season an unfit mess.

Leigh Griffiths is one of the last people I want to hear or read coming out of Celtic.

I don’t know what the worst thing about that Leigh Griffiths interview. The fact he’s having a go at supporters for being annoyed at this disaster of a season or that he calls Peter Lawwell, Mr Lawwell. He could do with shutting his gub and getting fit.

Leigh Griffiths can do one , telling fans what to think when he couldn’t be arsed to get fit for the start of the season, should have been chased years ago

And of course, us at GIGPOD were snide as well!
Can't wait til Leigh 'Munchy Box' Griffiths is punted tbh.

Hope he's one of the first out the door in the summer.
Fed up with his crap that no other club would tolerate but weirdly, we do.
Of course, Griffiths is always going to stand by a manager who has given him umpteen chances since his return to the club and CEO who really ought to have tore up his contract years ago, so this is self survival, but it’s not going to wash with fans when we’re 23 points behind Rangers, and could be worse off after Wednesday, though that’s a colossally big if, as I do not believe that even this Celtic side are capable of slipping up against Hamilton Accies at home, as bad as things are.
Elsewhere, Rafa Benitez won’t be our new manager, despite weird talk of him accepting a deal with us at the weekend, when many people bizarrely believed a fake letter concocted by a Rangers fan.
