In what has been a storyline nowhere near dragged out as long as it could have been going by summer transfer window standards, Celtic are set to conclude the Alexandro Bernabei saga by announcing him tomorrow on a five year deal, the Daily Record report.

Some of our fans have even been doing that weird thing again where they live track his flight and tweet updates every hour as if there’s going to be a major development other than his plane travelling towards Amsterdam and then Glasgow, but this indeed the strange age we live in and it’s been a ‘gimmick’ since the team got a chartered number when they played Karagandy directly after beating Aberdeen at Pittodrie in 2013.

Nevertheless, it’s refreshing to see the club get business done nice and early with just over a month to go until we kick off the title defending campaign at home to Aberdeen.

In other news;

Alfa ‘Romeo’ Semedo will NOT be joining the club.

Jota to Celtic is as imminent as it was a month ago.

And Ismaila Soro is wanted on loan by Serbian side Partizan Belgrade.

So, things are picking up at least after nearly nothing to report after the Motherwell game other than Rogic and Bitton leaving.

Coming up on GIGPOD tonight; it’s episode 119 and part one of the A-Z of the season, so there’s that to look forward to while Celtic aren’t kicking a ball.
