It’s been a slightly nervous week, with many liars and jackanory merchants desperate to put decent fans through the ringer with their made up rumours and tales that would make the wonderful Walter Mitty even go ‘too far’, alas, this is the world we live in and the WHATSAPP WHOPPERS will never go away.
Indeed, Ange soothed anxious fans such as myself and rubbished the idiotic stories circulating about the doubts over CCV, Ralston and Taylor for this game, with the only notable omission being Josip Juranovic.
Ange met journalists and fan media today, including ‘big’ John McGinley to address the team ahead of Sunday.
Here’s a great response from Ange regarding the natural anxiety and nerves we are feeling at the moment.
Today for @67HailHail I asked Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou about the natural tension supporters will be feeling as we get closer to a prize we're all so invested in.— John McGinley (@jhnmcgnly) April 22, 2022
This is what he had to say...
"The last thing I want is our supporters to be flatlining." pic.twitter.com/Qyho98CYXG
Confirmation below on the team too.
Ange Postecoglou has confirmed that Josip Juranovic will be out for at least a couple of weeks after an injury sustained in the semi-final.— John McGinley (@jhnmcgnly) April 22, 2022
Everyone else is fine and Giorgos Giakoumakis has been training and is available for the trip to Ross County.
Here’s the full presser from the manager :
Huge news indeed on GG, and here’s hoping he can carry on the fantastic form that saw him notch the player of the month award recently. He’ll be itching to go after missing the semi final, and he could have made a difference to us as well.
In other news, a permanent deal for CCV is rumoured to be close, and yes, we know all about rumours, but this wasn’t primarily picking up the pace on whatsapp and does look to be slightly credible, so fingers crossed!
