Update: still no manager!
Just wanted to clarify that on day 101 without one. What a mess we are.
Compounding that is the very unsurprising news that Kris Ajer wants to leave the club this summer, no doubt among a host of other players who will be departing.
The Norwegian has said:
“With one year left of my contract, that would be the best solution for me and my club. Something is going to happen this summer.
There are of course many rumours. Right now it’s just rumours. I have one year left on my contract with Celtic and I relate to it, but something will probably happen this summer.
I have one year left and will be loyal to the club. For both me and Celtic to get the best possible starting point, it probably makes sense that it happens this year.
I have brought with me experience from almost 180 games for a top club like Celtic.
It’s an insanely big club. You have to be a little careful with what you say to the media. “
I may not respect his celebrations when he makes a successful tackle when we’re losing a game heavily, but I do respect his honesty here, and hopefully we cash in on him rather than losing him for free next season, because after last seasons transfer window, you can’t rule out us doing something incredibly stupid like that again, despite how much it came back to haunt us during the course of the ill fated 20-21 campaign.
The chat is Norwich or Newcastle are going to be his next destination, but he’s much better than that.
Here’s to another weekend without a director of football, or a manager then.
Have a good one and don’t let Celtic ruin it.
