I wrote about how the signing of a goalkeeper couldn’t be dragged on and turned into a tiresome ‘will he, won’t he’ drama and Celtic, to their immense credit, have identified that we cannot rely on Scott Bain on all fronts this season, and invested quickly in a goalie that seems to be the real deal.
Barkas will put PEN TO PAPER on a three year deal on this morning – with a one year option– in a move worth £4.5m which could rise to £5.5m – shattering the AEK Athens transfer record and becoming the most expensive keeper in Scottish football history.
He’ll also be in the squad for the Hamilton game on Sunday too, although we could win that game with wee Dembele in goals.
I’ll do a typical condescending preview ahead of that game tomorrow.
The wait is over.
Scottish fitba is back, and so are my patronising match outlooks.
Try and contain yourselves.
