No, it’s not a clickbait headline, it’s a legitimate question here. Does anyone know what’s happening with Ajer and Moi ? As of right now, their eligibility for Saturday remains in limbo.
Here’s what we know so far, buckle up.
90 Minute Cynic’s Christian Wulff spotted this a few days ago initially.
Norwegian newspaper VG confirms that a national team player has tested positive for Covid at Norway’s hotel in Oslo. Unclear so far what this means for Kristoffer Ajer and Moi Elyounoussi.https://t.co/tkarsGV3bS

Norway’s players were then stopped boarding their flight for their game by the health authorities.
Some incredible details being released about what’s gone on with Norwegian squad today: all the players were at the airport, bags loaded on the plane, ready to fly to Romania when Norwegian health authorities effectively stopped flight. https://t.co/xa1PCThTxy

It then got full blown Ally McBeal.
Norwegian FA have brought in their director of elite football, Lise Klavenes (who is also a solicitor). Currently on maternity leave she’s one of two signatories to letter sent to Norwegian health authorities asking for exception to travel. Lawyering up.https://t.co/LutSL9n8Ox

We then got to yesterday’s developing story on the mess.
Whole story been v confusing and changed daily but to clarify:

1) Ajer & Moi returning to Glasgow today
2) Per Norwegian regulations they’re allowed to travel but should isolate when get home.
3) Unclear yet whether Scottish regulations say they have to isolate or not in Glasgow

Now Derek Rae’s reported that jail time could be an option if players break quarantine rules set out to them by Norway law! Probably hyperbole, likely just a fine which is chicken feed to these guys, but still, it’s bonkers.
Re Norwegian players returning to Bundesliga clubs - Haaland. Sörloth, Jarstein. Several German & Norwegian sources reporting if they were to play for their clubs this weekend it would be a violation of NOR quarantine rules potentially carrying fines & even prison under NOR law.

As for Ajer and Moi, we’re still not sure what their status or eligibility for
Saturday’s game is. The Scottish Government haven’t came out and clarified anything, and neither have Celtic. Although they have wished Anthony ‘Tony’ Ralston a happy birthday, priorities eh!
We’ll keep you updated as best as we can. I say we. It’s a one man show, you’ll get whatever I give you.
What I will give you though, is another WORLD CLASS GIGPOD episode, covering Scotland’s Celtic players last week, as well as debating if we ‘missed out’ on Declan Gallagher and Lyndon Dykes.
