No, it’s not 2009, we really are after Steven Fletcher again.
However, this time we have offered him a deal and haven’t tried to penny pinch with the club he was tied to.
BBC have reported we have offered him a one year deal.
Steven Fletcher is offered a one-year contract by @CelticFC after the 33-year-old striker rejected a new deal with @swfc.

But no agreement between the player and the Scottish champions has been reached as yet.https://t.co/WxP8B7CxYF pic.twitter.com/z6ydAMwO3E
I am not majorly opposed to this, but also, hardly excited by it.
It’s a signing that will ‘get us by’ this season, and if he scores what, ten goals on the way to the title, everyone will do their usual and say it’s a ‘Lenny masterclass’ and hail the signature of FLETCH.
At the same time, where is our planning long term ? I would suspect this will be Edouard’s last year in a Celtic shirt, and we should be bringing in a quality replacement for him to bed in right now, in my opinion.
That’ll be seen as too negative or maybe sensible for here though.
As usual we’ll wait and see what happens and I’m sure everyone will lose their minds when he scored a tap in at Rugby Park to ‘shut me up’.
