A 20-0 win then?
But seriously, we’re back and hopefully back with a bang on Sunday when we have to welcome Hamilton to Celtic Park.
When will they ever disappear from the Premiership ? Who knows, but I have to say, I’m delighted Hearts went down instead of them last season and to be honest, they actually gave us more of a game than the idiots from Edinburgh managed, so fair play to Brian Rice and his team.
It’s going to be another rout though, you’d suspect, similar to how we smashed St Johnstone on the opening day last season.
Will no crowds (for now) play a huge role in how we play, and determine matches ? I don’t think so. The players are professional enough, and should be hungry to batter the opposition to secure the almighty tenth title in a row. We’ve seen how home advantage goes out the window in other leagues since they were restarted, but I don’t think we’ll struggle due to the level of opposition we’re up against on a weekly basis.
So who’ll play in goal ? Does it matter ? Scott Bain will have nothing to do, but Neil Lennon may be tempted to throw in Vasilas Barkas for his debut immediately. He won’t have an easier ninety minutes.
The rest of the team will pick itself. James Forrest, Mo Elyounoussi and Odsonne Edouard will do the damage early doors and decide the outcome of the game quickly and efficiently.
The shoot prediction is back, and I smashed it last season, so will likely do the same again, as I can do no wrong.
TJDS SHOOT PREDICTION: CELTIC 5-0 HAMILTON.
And remember, it’s always a shoot, unless I say it’s a work.
