Charlie Nicholas: “Celtic are crap and I want to see Copenhagen beat them”

Kidding on, he never said that, hahaha.

Ex-TJDSBLOG hero Reidzo said that Nicholas was harsh to dismiss Celtic as Europa League contenders if they get to the last sixteen of the tournament(they will) and I agree with him!

Charlie Bhoy’s assessment of just how strong Celtic are is as ill judged as his style.

Now, while Celtic are not the favourites for lifting the trophy, and teams like Eintracht Frankfurt, Inter Milan, Wolves and Rangers are likely to be the ones competing for the humble piece of silverware, Celtic are more than capable of getting further than the last sixteen, considering we have one of the finest young strikers in Europe just now, as well as one of the best midfielders out in Callum McGregor. Both have been vital for us in the EL, and as long as they are on form, and fit, we can upset anyone. So shut it, Charles.

While the usual Twitter accounts reminisce over Rodgers/Lennon a year to the day, for whatever reason, let’s just focus on the football and accept whoever is in charge of Celtic, with this group of players, will constantly win games no matter what.

Copenhagen are who we host at Celtic Park tomorrow in what should be a fairly routine game that’ll see us progress to the last sixteen of the Europa League.

The first leg ended 1-1, and despite a poor second half showing, not losing was crucal, and psychologically a big deal. Despite everything Copenhagen threw at us last week, they couldn’t beat us, and will feel overwhelmed at a packed CP.

There will be a shoot prediction tomorrow, as per usual!
