FK Sarajevo are all that stand in our way for another run in the Europa League group stage.

Of course, the glorious ‘away days’ are nothing we can look forward to this season, with this virus still dictating how we watch football, and frankly, it’s a dirge, but what can we do.

As I stated earlier in the week, we’ve played this mob before, and although they sit at the top of the Bosnian Premier League, amidst a five game winning run, we should be good enough to progress to the group stages.

I don’t have the time to tell you who their best players are, or do an expert analysis based on their youtube clips, but here’s what Clive Lindsay (BBC) had to say about their ones to watch:

Benjamin Tatar: The striker equalised in Glasgow last July to give his side a glimmer of hope of an unlikely second-leg comeback. The 26-year-old Bosnian scored twice in Wales in the opening round this season and his goal against Buducnost has taken his tally to nine in 11 games.

Matthias Fanimo: The former England youth international has taken an unusual journey to European football. Having come through the youth ranks with West Ham United, the 26-year-old winger spent time at Bishops Stortford, Eastleigh, Margate and Hornchurch before heading to Slovenia’s second tier with Drava Ptuj. From there, he won a move to Mladost Doboj Kakanj in the Bosnian top flight and has already found the net three times since his summer switch to the nation’s champions.

Vladan Kovacevic: Goalkeepers usually have to wait until their mid-20s until they become a permanent part of their national squad, but 22-year-old Kovacevic has retained his place since being called up for the first time last year.

Celtic are without winger James Forrest and striker Albian Ajeti, but defender Christopher Jullien is available.

If we perform tonight like we did in the second half against that team who were amazing for drawing against Rangers, we should be more than comfortable, and I have faith that we’ll do that, although the Twitter Managers will still find a way to moan after a few minutes I’m sure.
