AIK 1-4 Celtic - never in doubt

Celtic cruised into tomorrow’s Europa League draw after a routine 4-1 win over AIK this evening, which was the most convincing away win we’ve had in europe for some time.

Well done to the team, especially when people started getting melodramatic at 1-1, and before those keyboards could be rattled in anger, Mikey Johnston’s superb work down the left let Ryan Christie seal the tie completely.

Also, first goals for Jullien and Morgan were very welcome too, especially for the latter who has taken pelters in recent weeks.

You’d think we’d get positive headlines, but no, The Evening Times found a way to put a dampener on a fine night for Scottish fitba in general with this belter.

The only worry is Ajer for the weekend’s game, and playing Forrest, McGregor and Edouard for over sixty minutes was utter madness from the manager.

As I type this, I was hoping we would be facing a Rangers side drenched with exhaustion from extra time and penalties against Legia, but the boys of the YCV have just scored there, and will now join us in the group stages as well.
