It’s hard to get up for, and I mean this literally, the cup after during the week, especially against opposition as tiresome as Dunfermline but needs must.
We’ve been stung in the last two seasons with burnout and fatigue, and certain players have struggled for fitness by featuring in dead rubber fixtures so early on in our season, so surely on Saturday we will be resting key players such as Callum McGregor, Ryan Christie, James Forrest and Odsonne Edouard ?
Coming in has to be:
Nir Bitton, Jonny Hayes, Shveddy Bhoy, Bayo and as much as I am not a fan of him.......Scott Sinclair.
If in the unlikely event we are not gubbing Dunfermline by a few on Saturday at half time, fine, unleash the big dogs but that is highly improbable, and no, I’m not typing from a brainwashed view. It’s just the reality of this game, and it’s hard to imagine anything less than a routine win into the next round.
Elsewhere, apparently we are after that Rosenborg left back.
