Tierney still remains at Celtic.

Shocked and stunned.

Kieran Tierney’s move to Arsenal still hangs in the balance, and for now he is still a Celtic player.

The weekend was dominated with news on KT and has quickly turned into a snoozefest, with this now rumbling on for almost a month now, with no sign of it ending any time soon.

Tierney is a key target for the Gunners in the current transfer window as Unai Emery looks to strengthen his squad for the new season.

As Standard Sport reported last month Arsenal have already failed with two offers for the left-back, with the first of those around £15million and the second closer to £18m.

Arsenal returned over the past few days with a renewed bid, believed to be around the £25m mark, but that has been turned down by Celtic.

The offer was understood to be compromised of several add-on payments which made the final figure of £25m, but Celtic want more money upfront.

Arsenal are being forced to try and complete deals using instalments due to their modest transfer budget of around £40m and that is proving problematic.

Yet, they had no problem splashing out over £40,000,000 on Mesut Ozil a few years ago. With the TV money they have in abundance down there, £25,000,000 up front should be a dawdle for them to complete, but their approach just means there’s more chance Tierney will be a Celtic player in September.

Preview for Sarajevo up tomorrow, it’s practically a friendly, but I’ll be there anyway.
