A two week break for Celtic’s McGregor.

Shocking ‘rest’ if you ask me.

Can’t believe I am going off brand and defending footballers, but it’s 2019 and people are just finding out about Chernobyl so it seems anything is possible in this day and age.

Scotland were thumped 3-0 last night by a very good Belgium team, and it was a fair and square bodying.

I had no complaints about the result and hopefully Steve Clarke can focus on the Finland game in the Nations League because we’re finished in the groups now with Russia and Belgium poised to romp it home.

The main problem for me came after the game, when Callum McGregor said he’s looking forward to a two week break before reporting back for pre season duty.

McGregor has played nearly 70 games this season for club and country, and is in major need of a longer rest than just a fortnight.

I’m sorry to say it, but it’s another case of mismanagement again and if we expect McGregor to be back to his explosive best, after such a short rest period after such a gruelling run of games, then it’s out of order and I fear another ‘KT’ situation happening with a guy who is the best midfielder on the country when on form.
