David Moyes just can’t keep away from rumours surrounding the managerial post at Celtic, it would seem.
Speaking to BBC Five Live, he said :
“I would always interested but I have got to say Lenny’s done a brilliant job. He’s been there before and I think the job he is doing at the moment would warrant him being the Celtic manager.”
Okay, so he hasn’t came out and said ‘Gies that joab’, but that click won’t bait itself!
Surely though, there’s no danger Moyes, with his recent high profile manegerial gaffes, can get anywhere near the Celtic job at this moment in time with us chasing ten in a row, and trying to escape the European humiliations that have plagued us since Ronald Deila’s reign which are sadly still ongoing.
In other news, Mikael Lustig has handed Neil Lennon a boost by declaring himself fit for Sunday’s game.
Lustig was bodied by Ryan Kent at Ibrox in December, and will surely not be as calamitous again if he starts against Rangers at the weekend.
Would I be tempted to throw Lustig in at right back ahead of the uninspiring Jeremy Toljan, yes, but it shouldn’t matter who is there as we should wrap the game up comfortably in any case.
Ongoing DerbyMania build up continues tomorrow.
