What a year it’s been for Scott Bain.
Yesterday was a year to the day he was thrown in at the deep end against Rangers at the last minute, and the Celts won that game 3-2. You’ll know the one I am on about, so I won’t link to it here. Social media did it’s usual and over-saturated the match yesterday and the On This Day platoon outdid themselves once again.
Bain, who was signed as a loan player, would then clinch a permanent deal that summer with Celtic , and has now established himself as the first choice goalkeeper at the club.
He also earned his first Scotland cap last year and seems like he is set to be installed as the number one goalie for the national team as well, after Allan McGregor confirmed his retirement from the international scene yesterday.
Good luck to Bainy Bhoy in the upcoming fixtures!
