And so, Brendan Rodgers is leaving Celtic for Leicester.

The timing seems to have shocked everybody, more so than the fact he has quit. Most people expected him to leave at the end of the season, not in the middle of a title race and on the verge of a treble treble.

Anyway, Rodgers did a great job domestically, winning two trebles and the unbeaten season will go down in folklore. In Europe he was slightly found wanting after a great first season.

In the end though, Rodgers was great for Celtic and Celtic were great for Rodgers. It’s just the timing that rankles. And it looks like Neil Lennon is returning - on a temporary basis - until the end of the season. Hooray!

Whilst not the biggest fan of the former Hoops boss, he is capable enough to clinch the league title. Although the cup might be a bridge too far. But in the summer we should aim high and go for another big name manager.

That man - Rafa Benitez. It would be another appointment which shows that me mean business and are aiming to do well in Europe, as well going for ten in a row. Will we go for him? Probably not. But a Bhoy can dream!
