Right well, first thing’s first let’s get the team news out the way.
Tom Rogic will be assessed for an inflamed knee and that’ll be monitored, but fellow midfielder Olivier Ntcham is back in training and Ryan Christie returns from his two-match suspension, while defender Christopher Jullien has trained after illness.
In any case, it doesn’t matter who is or who isn’t available, as tonight’s done and dusted anyway.
St Mirren aren’t terrible, but they are nowhere near capable of testing us, especially at Celtic Park, which is now back to being a fortress domestically and in Europe, and the shoot prediction is :
Celtic 4-0 St Mirren
Now, onto breaking news and James Forrest has signed a new deal that will ensure he retires with Celtic.
Fantastic news for a player who has gone onto become one of our most important players, and a big game star for the club.
He’s scored a total of 81 goals for the Hoops – including nine already this season – in 369 appearances, while his haul of honours is equally impressive.
To date, he has won eight league titles, five Scottish Cups and four League Cups, and has been an integral part of Celtic’s historic Treble Treble success, while he was also named the PFA Scotland Player of the Year for last season.
Well done to him , and Celtic, for getting that one sorted!
