After Friday’s howling performance and disappointing result against St Mirren, Celtic are back, but thanks to negligence from the manager, certain players and the board over the summer we’re not in the Champions League, but the Europa League, which is still nothing to be snobby about, but a game yet again versus Rosenborg is one nobody is that excited by.
The hoops knocked the Norwegian side out of the Champions League earlier on in the summer, beating them 3-1 at Celtic Park, before a rocky 0-0 draw was enough to see us progress to face AEK Athens, and we won’t go there again.
The visitors beat ex Celtic manager Ronny Deila’s Valerenga at the weekend 3-2, and they won’t have Niklas Bendnter available tomorrow, but he wouldn’t have done anything of note anyway, he’s an idiot.
For Celtic, the slower pace of the Europa League group stage games will probably be vital for Tom Rogic, and he’ll likely turn up tomorrow night. My predicted team is:
Gordon, Lustig, Ajer, Boyata, Tierney, Brown, Ntcham, McGregor, Rogic, Forrest, Edouard.
A worryingly predictable eleven these days for us, but that team should be more than enough to scud Rosenborg.
If you aren’t going to the game it’s on BT Sport 3 at 8pm.
