Cheerio Scotland, hello again Celtic.

The break is over, but we’re back.

So, Scotland are done and dusted for another month and a bit, and domestic fitba is back.

It’s strange that despite this going on for the last fifteen years, a week or two of no Celtic in action still turns many people into anxious wrecks who can’t enjoy international fitba for what it is - even when so many Celtic players are involved with Scotland now!

The national team beat Albania 2-0 last night in what was a thoroughly deserved win, with Kieran Tierney as always excellent. Callum McGregor was not his usual clinical self though. Craig Gordon was deservedly dropped from his shocking performance on Friday against Belgium, but James Forrest and Leigh Griffiths also never made the starting line up.

Still, at least two of them should be fit and ready to face St Mirren on Friday Night, which is live on BT Sport and will be a baptism of fire for their new manager Oran Kearney.

We’ll focus on that this week, and what the team should be.
