The hoops will face Norwegian side Rosenborg in the next round of the Champions League, in what will be a rematch of last year’s triumph against the Scandinavians, after they came back from a scare against Valur to win 3-1 in the dying seconds last night.
Celtic weren’t under any threat last night, despite a red card and Craig Gordon doing his best to underhit as many passes as possible and the 3-0 win was more than deserved.
Here’s a few thoughts on last night:
Odsonne Edouard is going to tear the Scottish Premiership apart. He looks quicker, leaner and hungrier. What a fantastic piece of business by Celtic.
Jack Hendry has fairly lost the beef.
Craig Gordon is going to put us under pressure if he continually under-hits passes and tries to be far too casual in games.
Moussa Dembele looks to be really enjoying the season kicking off again. He might even end up staying with us after I assumed he’d be for the off in August.
James Forrest could be a very adequate right back against the jobbers at least.
They new floodlights are alright.
The KFC near the stadium is too mobbed and Celtic should just start serving it at the ground.
