Callum McGregor : Social Media is for wimps

Just like lunches

Having went from strength to strength since his debut for Celtic in 2014 in the Deila era, it’s hard to find the superlatives to describe Callum ‘£20m player’ McGregor.

However, his recent dismissal of social media has only rapidly increased his status as a modern day legend in my opinion!

A throwback to the days when footballers never had social media and their lives were a mystery to us all is a welcome and refreshing change in this over analysed and heavily saturated age we live in, and McGregor’s a man who just wants to kick a ball about, go home and live his life in private. Our very own Paul Scholes! What a guy.

Oh and we start pre season tonight against Steyr in Austria. Cannot wait for the dramatic reactions to a 10-0 win or a 3-0 defeat, with Moses Odubajo perhaps featuring.

Friendlies are, and always will be, an excuse for the players to blow off the buffets and bevvy from their holidays so do not expect a major shoot on any surprising, or shocking results please.
