Strong, quick and a fearless leader.
But enough about me!
‘Cactus’ Jack Hendry was in impeccable form for Scotland last night, in their 1-0 win over Hungary in Budapest and alongside Scott McKenna, formed a highly formidable defensive partnership which bodes well for the future.
This is welcome news for Scotland, who have constantly struggled for quality in this area.
Hendry read the game exceptionally well last night, and was strong in the air, making several crucial interceptions and challenges, and Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers surely now faces a, cliche incoming, defensive headache for the rest of the season with the ex Dundee defender’s assured display giving him a solid shout to be a first team starter.
To make the leap from Dundee to Celtic, and to be thrown into International football at such a young age, and not look out of place, is some going and it’s a credit to him that’s taken the last few months in his stride and hasn’t looked flustered, especially at Rugby Park when everyone else around him crumbled.
The big man also revealed what he’s learned at Celtic since he joined.
Jack Hendry is the real deal, it is the TJDS shoot verdict!
