Heroic TJDS writer Reidzo may have moved in the summer transfer window to another fitba blogging site, but there doesn’t seem to be any escape from his opinions on that internet, as his latest article popped up on Newsnow regarding how Celtic should sign Dylan McGeouch.
Sorry Reidzo, but this is a nonsense and signing McGeouch would not improve Celtic in any way, and that’s not me bosh flimshawing decent talent in this league, as I am aware he’s a big game player for Hibs, but he’s just not someone who can take Celtic to another level.
Admittedly, McGeouch has been excellent this season for Hibs, and seems to have got over his niggling injuries which have plagued his career until now, to even warrant a call up for Scotland.
In my opinion, the lazy ‘bring him home’ battlecry has to stop when players leave Celtic and kick on with their career elsewhere.
In two years time, if Kieran Tierney leaves and we’re short of options to replace him, it really would not shock me if there were pleas to those footballing heavyweights Al-Fayha to release Emilio Izaguirre from his contract and yes, you guessed it......’bring him home’ !
McGeouch, in my opinion, would be a lazy signing and straight out of the Scott Allan/Jonny Hayes mould, in that he’s strictly snapped up because he stands out for another team in the league, but ultimately would not improve us.
He wouldn’t get a game ahead of Brown, Ntcham, McGregor even Stuart Armstrong, despite his erratic form this season, plus Kouassi is bound to be getting more gametime next season, and even Nir Bitton could survive another cull and don the hoops in 18/19!
Do the readers agree with me, or Reidzo ?
I predict they’ll be on my side here, sorry Reidy Bhoy.
