Celtic V Hearts Preview

It’s league duty again tonight for Brendan and the team as we welcome Craig ‘The Worker’ Levein’s Hearts to Celtic Park in what promises to be an interesting game.

Hearts, of course, bodied us 4-0 over a month ago and ended our seventy game unbeaten run in all domestic competitions and were well worth the win.

Celtic will set out to avenge that defeat tonight, but will be without Craig Gordon and Leigh Griffiths, with Stuart Armstrong, Marvin Compper and Tom Rogic also still unavailable.

Hearts meanwhile will have Kyle Lafferty available again from suspension, and he destroyed us last time the teams met, so we’ll have to deal with him more effectively, especially with Steven Naismith likely to partner him up front and be a general annoyance.

Celtic have won six of the seven games since that 4-0 defeat at Tynecastle, whereas the Jambos are on a decent unbeaten run themselves, now twelve without a defeat.

A big match for Moussa Dembele tonight to put the WANTAWAY rumours behind him with a few goals hopefully, and will we see Charly Musonda starting ? I’d guess he’ll come off the bench at some stage, but stranger things have happened.

Levein’s been in top form as a worker recently, managing to noise up Neil Lennon after the recent Scottish Cup win over Hibs and the thought of him gloating after a good result at Celtic Park would probably be too much to handle, so here’s hoping the team extend Hearts winless run at Celtic Park this evening to fifteen visits - their last win was a League Cup game in 2009.

Tonight’s shoot prediction : Celtic 4-1 Hearts.
