SCOTTISH PREMIERSHIP: CELTIC V HIBS; SATURDAY 27TH JANUARY 3:00PM
Celtic aim for their first league win of the season against Neil Lennon’s Hibs as the team returns to league duty at Celtic Park.
Team Selection: Will Brendan Rodgers maintain the 3-5-2 system that brought about the win against Partick on Tuesday? If that’s the case it would mean no Mikael Lustig in the side, which at the moment is no bad thing.
Leigh Griffiths will surely start the game following his wining goal against Thistle but what Moussa Dembele? It wouldn’t be surprising if he remained on the subs bench for the third game running.
It would be good if we had someone who could replace the out-of-form Callum McGregor in midfield, but we don’t so he will probably start again.
Previous Meetings:
A 2-2 draw at Celtic Park in September where Callum McGregor and John ‘not good enough for Celtic’ McGinn each scored braces.
Another 2-2 draw, at Easter Road last month when the Celts took a two goal lead thanks to a Scott Sinclair double yet almost conspired to throw the game away.
Prediction: Surely the Hoops have got enough to defeat Neil Lennon’s Hibs for the first time in the league this season? Look out for Leigh Griffiths not to celebrate if he scores and Celtic to win by a few goals.
