THE BIG STORY: After our former rivals Rangers’ 2-2 draw with Partick Thistle last night, Celtic have a chance to go five points ahead of them by beating Ross County at Celtic Park today, which would send them into a tailspin ahead of next week’s Glasgow derby at Ibrox. So it’s a case of getting the job done today, and a game for those dropped against PSG to make their case for becoming first team starters. You can read our preview of the Ross County game here, we’ll have updates on Twitter and a match report up after the game.

OTHER NEWS: Brendan Rodgers has been discussing Celtic’s place in the Champions League, admitting that we can no longer ‘compete with the elites’. Unfortunately two of those ‘elites’ are in our group this season, which is why the best we can hope for is third place and Europa League football after Christmas. Maybe one day we’ll get a kind draw...

As we reported yesterday, Kolo Toure has returned to Celtic as a Technical Assistant, and he will play a role in developing Celtic’s youth teams as well helping with first team coaching.

ON THIS DAY: In 1981, Celtic defeated Juventus 1-0 at Celtic Park in the European Cup First Round First Leg, thanks to a goal by Murdo MacLeod. Highlights of the second half - including the goal - are below.
