THE BIG STORY: With transfer deadline day finally here, Celtic seem to making moves to finalise at least one signing, and as we reported yesterday 19 year old PSG striker Odsonne Edouard is set to join Celtic on loan for the rest of the season, with an ‘option to buy’ clause apparently included at the end of the deal. Edouard will become the third striker that the squad has badly needed...unless of course Moussa Dembele is sold tonight. There have been rumours - on Twitter - linking Dembele with Marseille and Tottenham but these seem to have been debunked so it seems that he is likely to stay at Celtic for the time being.

Celtic are still apparently on the look-out for a centre-half, with Bristol City’s Aden Flint mentioned. The Jason Denayer story ended when he decided on a return to Galatasaray instead of a return to Celtic. There could also be some outgoings at Celtic today, it seems likely that Liam Henderson will be leaving, perhaps back to Hibs? There is also the issue of Virgil Van Dijk, who will earn Celtic big money if he leaves Southampton today. We’ll keep you updated on our Twitter account and have the latest Celtic transfer stories on the site as the MAYHEM of transfer deadline day begins. Buckle up!

ON THIS DAY: In 2013, a late Anthony Stokes free-kick gave Celtic a 1-0 win over Dundee United at Tannadice.
