After Celtic qualified for the Champions League Group Stages, Brendan Rodgers stated that the aim was European football after Christmas, and this is certainly possible after this evening’s draw for the Group Stages, which puts Celtic in Group B alongside Bayern Munich, Paris Saint Germain and Anderlecht.
Undeniably Bayern and PSG will be favourites to qualify for the last 16, and any points we can gain from those two sides will be a bonus, but we should be more than capable of matching Belgium champions Anderlecht in the two games against them.
The way the fixtures have fallen could also be to our advantage in the race for third place and Europa League football.

UEFA has announced #CelticFC's @ChampionsLeague fixtures. What a way to begin! @PSG_English at Paradise. pic.twitter.com/C02OtME8eJ
The final game is at Celtic Park against Anderlecht on December the 5th, in what could potentially be a decider for third place. The first game is also at Celtic Park, against PSG on September the 12th. Just think, in under three weeks time, the likes of Neymar, Dani Alves, Cavani and Verratti will be facing a wall of sound at Celtic Park. What a moment to savour!
