THE BIG STORY: Brendan Rodgers was delighted with the contribution of his young players in the 2-0 win over Kilmarnock yesterday, singling out Anthony Ralston and man of the match Calvin Miller for their performances. He also said that Nir Bitton should be ‘fine’ for Tuesday’s game against Astana and as for Patrick Roberts, watch the clip below:

Tom Rogic was at his mercurial best with the assists for both of Celtic’s goals, and Rodgers was full of praise for the Australian, describing him as a ‘very, very good player’.
OTHER NEWS: Operation Sell Celtic’s Best Players continues, with Burnley apparently set to offer us £10 million for Jozo Simunovic, which I presume Celtic would laugh off as derisory. If Ajax can sell players for vastly inflated sums of money to English teams then so can we, as we are a far better team than them.
ON THIS DAY: In 1994, Celtic defeated Dundee United 2-1 at Hampden to record our first league win of the season. Andy Walker put Celtic into the lead, and after Jerren Nixon’s equaliser Tony Mowbray was on hand to take advantage of United goalie Alan Main’s mistake to head home an injury time winner. Highlights are below.
