THE BIG STORY: With the deadline tonight at 11PM for Celtic to add a player to our Champions League squad fast approaching, Celtic are seemingly no further forward in our attempts to bring a player in.
The constant speculation surrounding Patrick Roberts took a new twist when it emerged that the player was included in a Manchester City squad to play Girona in Spain tonight. Apparently Celtic have not yet been given permission to speak to the player but of course that could all change before the deadline if the clubs can agree a deal for the player.
We’ll be hearing from Brendan Rodgers later today at his pre-Astana press conference, so perhaps we’ll learn more about the situation then. We’ll keep you updated as the deadline approaches and we’ll have a preview of tomorrow night’s game against Astana on the site later on.
