Thursday Round-Up: Celtic Head To Dundee In Betfred Cup

THE BIG STORY: Celtic have been drawn to face Dundee at Dens Park in the Betfred Cup quarter-final. The tie is due to be played on either the 19th or 20th September. Interestingly, we head to Ibrox on the 23rd for the first Celtic-Rangers game of the season. The full draw is:

Hibs V Livingston

Motherwell V Aberdeen

Dundee V Celtic

Partick Thistle V Rangers

OTHER NEWS: Former Celtic captain Roy Aitken has been appointed by Celtic as a Club Ambassador. joining the likes of Billy McNeill, Tom Boyd and David Hay in that position. Aitken, who won six leagues in seventeen years at Celtic, described the role as a ‘huge honour’.

After all the rumours yesterday, things are quiet on the Patrick Roberts front, but no doubt there will be news at some stage today, maybe during the press conference for tomorrow’s game against Partick Thistle.
