THE BIG STORY: It looks as if Celtic are set to make their biggest signing of the season so far, with the arrival of Manchester City's 21 year old midfielder Olivier Ntcham. The player will cost around £4 million, and according to Brendan Rodgers the player was at Celtic Park today for a medical. The player has been spotted in Glasgow, so it seems that the move is going to happen very soon. We'll have much more on the signing this week.
OTHER NEWS: Brendan Rodgers has played down the injury suffered by Scott Brown in yesterday's 9-0 victory over Shamrock Rovers, stating that he 'should be fine' for Friday's match against Linfield.
One of the other talking points from yesterday's game was Jonny Hayes scoring his first Celtic goal, which you can see below.
Another new signing, Kundai Benyu, marked his debut for the Celtic development squad with a goal against East Kilbride.
ON THIS DAY: Happy Birthday to the mercurial Paolo Di Canio, who was born on this day in 1968. Di Canio only spent one full season at Celtic, but what a season he had, full of great football and fights with all and sundry. A highly controversial figure, he will be remembered as one of Celtic's most skillful players of the 1990s.
