THE BIG STORY: Celtic are reportedly interested in signing Manchester City midfielder Olivier Ntcham. The 21 year old midfielder spent the last two seasons on loan at Genoa, and as Genoa didn't take up the option to sign him Celtic have SWOOPED in, with reports claiming that it could cost up to £4 million to sign the player. Defence seems more of a pressing concern at the moment and we seem to have a surplus of midfielders so this story may turn out to be paper talk, we shall have to wait and see. The inevitable YouTube compilation is below.

OTHER NEWS: Celtic return to action today, as we're all off to Dublin in the green to play Shamrock Rovers, with a 3pm kick-off and Brendan Rodgers is looking forward to the game.

Brendan also admitted that he may have to sign a defender following the news that Dedryck Boyata is ruled out with a knee injury for up to three months.

ON THIS DAY: In 1988, Celtic defeated Cruzeiro Belo Horizonte of Brazil 4-2 in the Centenary Cup challenge at Celtic Park. The infamous Ian Andrews made his Celtic debut in this game, with Celtic's goals coming from an Andy Walker hat-trick and a goal from Frank McAvennie.
