Dedryck Boyata's knee injury is far serious than initial reports indicated, with Celtic assistant manager Chris Davies today revealing that the player will be out for at least three months. Brendan Rodgers this evening stated his 'disappointment' at the injury, but is confident that the player will work very hard to get fit. Boyata's injury leaves Celtic in a bit of a quandary, as we currently only have two natural centre-halves - Jozo Simumovic and Erik Sviatchenko. Mikael Lustig has played centre-back in the past and Brendan Rodgers recently talked about Kieran Tierney playing in that position in the future but with Kolo Toure's future uncertain now would be a good time to sign a new centre-back.
In other news Saidy Janko has left Celtic to join Saint-Etienne. He played for Celtic 20 times but lost his place in the team after the Lincoln Red Imps debacle and spent last season on loan at Barnsley. We wish him well in the future.
