THE BIG STORY: Brendan Rodgers is confident that Celtic can go over to Norway and get a result after last night’s disappointing goalless draw with Rosenborg at Celtic Park. He declared himself ‘pleased’ with the players’ performances but admitted that Celtic ‘lacked firepower’. Despite this, he thinks that Celtic can score, and presumably get a favourable result in Trondheim next Wednesday. Of course one of the reasons that we lacked firepower was due to Leigh Griffiths’ suspension, and Brendan is ‘hopeful’ that Griffiths will shake off a calf injury in time for next week’s game.

OTHER NEWS: The big story before the game was news that Moussa Dembele’s hamstring injury could keep him out until September. It seems like a no-brainer that Celtic need to go out and sign a new striker as soon as possible, we’ll keep you updated to see if this happens.
