THE BIG STORY: Celtic take on Rosenborg tonight at Celtic Park in the first leg of our Champions League third round qualifying tie. You can read our match preview here, and we’ll have the usual match reports and player ratings up after the game. With Celtic dealing with mounting injury problems, there is speculation that Kristoffer Ajer, who spent last year on loan at Kilmarnock may handed a start. Despite the injuries, Celtic captain Scott Brown is looking forward to the game. Talking of Brown, Celtic have announced that he will unfurl the league flag in the opening game of the season against Hearts. Congratulations to the captain!

OTHER NEWS: The Green Brigade ban is continuing to make waves, with The Celtic Trust critical of the decision.

ON THIS DAY: In 2009, Celtic won the Wembley Cup by defeating Tottenham 2-0 in the final, with goals from Chris Killen and Georgios Samaras in what was undeniably the highlight of Tony Mowbray’s time as Celtic manager.
