THE BIG STORY: Scott Sinclair was the star man with two goals as Celtic defeated Linfield 4-0 at Celtic Park, winning the Champions League second round qualifying tie 6-0 on aggregate. Aside from Sinclair, Olivier Ntcham had a very accomplished debut and Tom Rogic’s good form continued with another goal. We’ll have the usual match report and player ratings up on the site later today, in the meantime the goals from last night are below.

Naturally Brendan Rodgers was ‘pleased’ with the performance of the team and with new Bhoy Olivier Ntcham in particular and he also admitted that there is not much progress on Stuart Armstrong’s new contract, but that isn’t the reason why he started the game on the bench.

All eyes now turn to next week’s Champions League third round qualifying first leg tie against Norwegian champions Rosenborg, who last night defeated Irish champions Dundalk 3-2 on aggregate. Brendan Rodgers is expecting a tough tie but the game should hold ‘no fear’ for Celtic. Rodgers also revealed that he may talk to former Celtic boss Ronny Deila about Rosenborg as he is currently managing in Norway.
