Brendan Rodgers spoke to the media ahead of tomorrow’s game against Linfield, and he revealed Emilio Izaguirre’s time at Celtic is set to come to an end, with the player, who recently signed a one year contract extension, having the chance to move to a club outside of Europe on loan. The loan deal sounds a bit odd as Izzy only has one year left on his contract, it would surely more sense to sell him permanently. We’ll keep you updated on this story.

Rodgers also disclosed that Leigh Griffiths is set to miss the Linfield game with a calf injury, but the injury isn’t ‘serious’. Talking of Griffiths, Brendan doesn’t think that Celtic have a discipline problem despite Griffiths’ UEFA charge for the heinous crime of tying a scarf to a goalpost.

Meanwhile, Kolo Toure is out of contract, but Brendan Rodgers has said that a ‘different role’ is available for him at the club if he is interested.
