THE BIG STORY: Brendan Rodgers was quite pleased with last night’s 2-0 victory over Linfield, declaring himself ‘satisfied’ with the result, and that the team will get more clinical over time. He understandably wasn’t happy with Linfield fans throwing a bottle at Leigh Griffiths, as he was worried about the safety of his players after the incident. No word as yet if Celtic have appealed Griffiths’ yellow card for ‘time wasting’.
