THE BIG STORY: Brendan Rodgers was quite pleased with last night’s 2-0 victory over Linfield, declaring himself ‘satisfied’ with the result, and that the team will get more clinical over time. He understandably wasn’t happy with Linfield fans throwing a bottle at Leigh Griffiths, as he was worried about the safety of his players after the incident. No word as yet if Celtic have appealed Griffiths’ yellow card for ‘time wasting’.

Meanwhile, Jonny Hayes made his competitive Celtic debut as a second half substitute and played quite well, you can see his thoughts on the game below.

OTHER NEWS: Celtic, bizarrely enough, are playing again today, as they take on Lyon in a friendly at Celtic Park, kick-off time 3:00PM. Naturally very of the players involved yesterday will be taking part, but new Celt Olivier Ncham is set to be involved, and Celtic TV released a video of the player in training that you can watch below, and we’ll keep you updated on the game on our Twitter account.
