Brendan Rodgers has been speaking with the media ahead of tomorrow’s game against Linfield - for more read tomorrow morning’s round-up - and naturally the talk turned to Stuart Armstrong’s as yet unresolved future, and Brendan made some interesting remarks.
He declared that he ‘hopes’ that Armstrong will stay at Celtic and believes that he wants to stay but revealed that dealing with the player’s agent has been an issue, as Celtic seem to have been unable to speak to the agent.
Celtic and Brendan Rodgers seem very keen to get a deal done, and understandably so, as Armstrong was such a vital player last season, but the longer it drags on without a deal being signed the more likely that Celtic may be forced into selling the player before the end of the transfer window. We’ll keep you updated on any more developments on this story.
