Gary Mackay-Steven has left Celtic to join Aberdeen on a two year deal. No word yet on a transfer fee, but the move seems like a good one for the player, who was on the periphery at Celtic Park.
GMS signed for Celtic from Dundee United in February 2015, and marked his debut against Partick Thistle with a goal after only 38 seconds.
He featured quite a bit under Ronny Deila, winning a league title medal in the process, but injuries and the great form of Forrest and Roberts limited his time under Brendan Rodgers, so it’s best for all concerned that he has joined the second best team in Scotland, and we wish him well in the future.
