Monday Round-Up: Ntcham Set To Sign - Armstrong Set To Go?

Celtic v Juventus X
Chris Sutton, who signed for Celtic on this day in 2000 celebrates a goal against Juventus

THE BIG STORY: Olivier Ntcham is set to complete his move to Celtic today, in a deal which could be worth up to £5 million. This would make the player one of the most expensive in Celtic's history, so you would imagine that he will be a first team starter in the middle of the park. How this will affect fellow midfielder Stuart Armstrong's contract situation remains to be seen, but an article this morning claims that Celtic have WARNED the player and his agent to be 'more realistic' with their demands. I get the feeling that he will leave unfortunately, here's hoping that this is not the case.

OTHER NEWS: Tonight on the site we will have an interview with Benjamin Roberts, who will be giving the Northern Irish perspective on this week's Linfield-Celtic game.

Jonny Hayes is enjoying life working with Brendan Rodgers at Celtic, and how this has improved his game already, whilst Mikael Lustig thinks that James Forrest is one of the best wingers in Britain. Not sure about that myself, but Forrest can be a very good player at times.

ON THIS DAY: In 2000 Chris Sutton signed for Celtic from Chelsea for a club record £6 million. Sutton has to go down as one of the best Celtic players of the last fifty years, as his partnership with Henrik Larsson paid immediate dividends with the Treble won in 2000-01. He was also brilliant in Europe and against Rangers, which is often the benchmark for Celtic players. Highlights of his time at the club are below.
