THE BIG STORY: Brendan Rodgers has revealed that Celtic and Scott Brown have discussed a new contract for the club captain. Rodgers also described Brown as one of the 'greatest captains' in Celtic's history, and said that as long as he is managing Celtic Brown will have a role at Celtic. This is good news, as last season Brown had his best season in a long time as he captained the Invincibles to the treble, hopefully he will be just as effective this coming season.
OTHER NEWS: Rodgers also stated that he is 'not secure' in his job as Celtic manager, as managers are under so much pressure in modern football. Fair enough, as he was under enormous pressure after the Lincoln Red Imps catastrophe last season, thankfully he managed to turn things around and we had a wonderful season.
Celtic's pre-season tour of Austria continues today with a game against Rapid Vienna at 4:00PM, we'll keep you updated on the game on our twitter account and have a match report on here after the game.
James Forrest is confident that Celtic can manage without any supporters at the game if our proposed match against Linfield takes place.
Manchester United have once again been linked with Kieran Tierney, with a fee of £15 million - ha! - quoted.
