THE BIG STORY: Lots of Celtic related transfer stories this morning, starting with, as we reported last night, Celtic's bid to permanently sign Patrick Roberts from Manchester City. Ironically the move could be funded by former Celt Virgil Van Dijk's transfer to Manchester City from Southampton, which is set to provide Celtic with big money from the sell-on fee we inserted when Virgil left Celtic.
So where does that leave the move for Aberdeen’s Jonny Hayes? The Daily Mail are reporting that Cardiff are biding £1.2 million for the player, more than Celtic have allegedly offered, and that Celtic will decide today if we are to keep pursuing Hayes.
Now onto Moussa Dembele, who of course was involved in 'talks' with AC Milan on Saturday. with the Daily Mail suggesting that any offers for Dembele will be 'rejected', at least until we know if we've qualified for next seasons' Champions League...sounds a bit ominous that. Meanwhile, the Sun have went in a completely different direction, claiming that we have earmarked Rostov striker Sardar Azmoun as Dembele's replacement. Phew, only another three months left of transfer gossip to go. We'll keep you updated on all these stories, no doubt there will be many more to come.
IN OTHER NEWS: Happy 20th Birthday to one of our own - Kieran Tierney, who is set to mark the occasion by facing England for Scotland this Saturday, here's hoping he has a great game.
