THE BIG STORY: Celtic's decision not to take tickets for the proposed game against Linfield has received a mixed reaction at best, we wrote about how the decision is wrong, and you can read it here.

The 2017-18 Scottish Premiership fixtures were released yesterday, and you can view Celtic's fixtures here.

Leigh Griffiths had a laugh at Rangers chairman Dave King's ramblings that Celtic weren't that far ahead of the team who were once our great rivals, who lest we forget finished 39 points behind Celtic last season. I'm eagerly awaiting their celebrations if they manage to cut the gap to 30 points next season.

ON THIS DAY: Happy Birthday to the great Shunsuke Nakamura, who was born on this day in 1978. Naka stayed at Celtic for four seasons and was deservedly voted player of the year in 2006-07. He was one of the lynchpins of Gordon Strachan's time at Celtic, and will particularly be remembered for some of the brilliant free-kicks that he scored. Highlights of his time at Celtic are below.
