Thursday Round-Up: Thoughts From Scott Sinclair

Celtic v Bordeaux
Happy Birthday to the great Lubo Moravcik!

THE BIG STORY: Scott Sinclair, as well as suggesting that Celtic can go unbeaten again next season, has been talking about the signing of Jonny Hayes, saying that his arrival at Celtic is 'great for competition' in the squad. He also talked about his lack of recognition for England, his shortened summer break and how Celtic have a 'pull' in New York, and you can read it here. The comment on Jonny Hayes is interesting, as those two players could well be in competition for one starting position.

OTHER NEWS: Celtic youth coach Miodrag Krivokapic has said that rumoured transfer target Srdjan Plasvic would succeed at Celtic as he already has experience at playing for a big club, his current team Red Star Belgrade.

Add Lazio to the list of clubs supposedly interested in signing Jozo Simunovic.

ON THIS DAY: Happy birthday to Slovakian genius Lubo Moravcik, who was born on this day in 1965. Lubo's time at Celtic was relatively short but it was memorable, he was signed by Jo Venglos in 1999, stayed until 2002 and was an integral part of Martin O'Neill's Treble winners in 2000-01, his crowning glory at Celtic being a brace in a 3-0 demolition job at Ibrox in April 2001. Some highlights of his time at Celtic are below.
