THE BIG STORY: As we wrote about yesterday, up to six Celtic players could be involved for Scotland against England later today. We'll keep you updated on how they get on. In other international news, Mikael Lustig played the entire ninety minutes for Sweden in their 2-1 win over France last night, whilst Dedryck Boyata failed to make Belgium's bench in their win 2-0 over Estonia. Emilio Izaguirre featured for Honduras in their 3-0 loss to Mexico and Cristian Gamboa played for Ecuador in their 1-1 draw with Venezuela.
ON THIS DAY: In 1938, Celtic defeated Everton 1-0 at Ibrox to win the Empire Exhibition Cup Final. This tournament, which was held to mark the Empire Exhibition in Glasgow's Bellahouston Park, was made up of four teams from England and four from Scotland, and after defeating English champions Sunderland and then Hearts, Celtic won the tournament thanks to a goal from Johnny Crum in the 96th minute, after the game had finished goalless in normal time. You can read more about the tournament here on the great Celtic Wiki website.
